The last page

From the editors.

We grew up dog-earing magazines — folding corners over coats we couldn't afford and kitchens we didn't own, keeping whole futures pressed between glossy pages. The fold was a promise: someday.

This issue removes the someday. Every photograph in it was shot around things you can actually keep: the coat holds its shape, the carafe pours true, the coffee was roasted the week we went to press. If it's on a page, it's real — priced, stocked, and one clip from your door.

So read it the old way. Slowly, at night, cover to cover. And when something stops you — don't fold the corner. Clip it.
