The deg-bhapka stills of Kannauj

Perfume was ours first.

Centuries before Grasse, the copper deg-bhapka stills of Kannauj were coaxing attar from monsoon earth and midnight jasmine. ĀTAR returns to those stills — same families, same fires — and bottles what they find.

Six flacons. No more.

We will never launch forty flankers. Each ĀTAR is blended for three years, tested through two Indian summers, and released only when the master perfumer signs the batch — by hand, on every box.

Raw, not refined away.

Our damask roses are picked before sunrise in Pushkar and distilled the same day. What you smell is the field, the hour, the season — not a molecule sheet.

IIIThe Pyramid Lab

How a scent unfolds.

Every perfume is a story told in three hours. Choose a flacon, then touch each tier of its pyramid.

VThe Ritual

Wear it like a secret.

Layering · Midnight Amber
RAAT+ZAR

Oud smoke under molten amber — RAAT on the skin, ZAR misted over. The pairing our perfumer wears to every dinner he wants remembered.

Layering · Monsoon Garden
BAAGH+GULAB

Cut-grass vetiver wrapped in dark rose. Wear BAAGH first, then press GULAB to the pulse points only. Fresh, then suddenly intimate.

01
Skin, not cloth

Attar is alive — it needs your warmth. Wrists, throat, behind the ear.

02
Never rub

Rubbing crushes the top notes. Press, wait, walk away.

03
Let it turn

An ĀTAR changes for three hours. Judge it at hour two, not minute one.

★★★★★

“RAAT is the first oud that smells like a memory instead of a men's counter. Strangers ask about it. Every time.”

Aarav M · Bombay
★★★★★

“The finder quiz recommended GULAB NOIR and it was unnervingly right. The rose smells picked, not manufactured.”

Diya S · London
★★★★★

“I bought the 10ml attar oil of ZAR to test and returned for the flacon in nine days. It outlasts everything I own.”
